E-Thekedaar connects people who want to build or renovate with contractors (thekedaars). FYT built the customer web app, admin panel, landing page, NestJS backend, Python service and AWS infrastructure, with separate staging and production environments.
Challenge
- Hiring contractors in India is informal and hard to trust, with no clear tracking of project progress.
- The platform needed staging and production environments, with SMS and other paid services switched off outside production.
- It had to scale to file uploads, notifications and scheduled jobs.
Solution
FYT built a NestJS backend with PostgreSQL, Redis and live updates. It runs on AWS for sign-in, file storage, background jobs, email and configuration. Razorpay handles payments and Twilio WhatsApp templates send notifications. Staging and production are deployed separately.
